BLACK BLOOD:
TAINTED LAND, DYING CARIBOU

On November 14, 2010, CTV aired Kelvin Redvers' documentary Black Blood: Tainted Land, Dying Caribou on the Sunday series, First Story.

It's a troubling tale about the growing cumulative environmental impacts from the activities of the seemingly uncaring petroleum industry and regulatory agency, the BC Oil and Gas Commission, in northeastern British Columbia, symbolized by the slow decimation of the caribou herds, one of the main, traditional food sources for Treaty 8 First Nations.

The documentary aired again on Sunday, May 1, 2011, prompting the issuance of this new page on our website.
